The scale of this Soviet WWII memorial/museum/ fortress is massive, but that's about the only good thing I can say about it. The local young woman who guided us around, bored everyone to tears by stopping and talking about each and every soldier and person whose photo was displayed. These people and their personal stories mean nothing to foreigners. However, she continued to drone on and on, until one by one we left her and walked out of the building. Even our tour manager, who also departed before the end of her memorized spiel, said that this recital was painfully boring, and much too long. And he agreed with the rest of us that this visit should be dropped from further itineraries.

impressive scale to the statues/ entrance and the site as a whole but to be truthful not much more to get your attention besides an interesting little church. You can borrow uniforms and pose on a tank in part of the site.
