This BMW X5 is a bit more than a transportation vehicle from A-B - it really transports me in style and luxury which is a true comfort that has to be experienced to be known. Before owning this X5, I did have another BMW 750LI with Turbo V8 engine- which at first sounds great, but WAY too many mechanical issues plagued my time with the 750LI - seemed that I was always coming from or to the dealership and never fully resolved. But without the BMW 750LI, I wouldnt have known exactly what I was looking for in the X5 features. Not the case with the X5 and the 3.5 liter V6 engine - enough power to get me where I want to go, All wheel drive to hug the road and fast enough to notice and still provide some good fuel economy. Luxury and Convenience, the reverse camera, parking assistance, lane departure, Heads Up Display is GREAT - showing speed and NAV right on the windshield in front of my eyes really makes a difference. The entertainment system options are great, internal HDD to store my digital music collection its really a world apart when I drive that X5 around. Super sporty M-Sport package, Leather all around, including a Leather Dashboard option. Saftey systems galore, the back up cameras - side, front rear airbags - really add to the whole confidence of driving this BMW knowing we are safe.
If you wanna buy a used M5 check the engine if it's mixing oil and water. if you wanna see it yourself. remove the engine oil cap. you'll see some mayonnaise. If you find some mayonnaise that means the engine will need to be replaced.
I love the size of my Acura ILX. It has the feel of a much larger car and drives and rides great. It has plenty of power which many small cars lack. I’ve had no problems with my car during the 3 years I’ve owned it.
Absolutely the worst financial institution with whom I have EVER worked.
Put my BMW up for sale locally, two days later had a buyer meet me with cash to buy it. We completed the sale; I went to my credit union and obtained a cashier's check (certified funds) for the payoff amount and sent it immediately to BMW Financial.
They claim it took 8 days to reach them by USPS, which is a lie. Phoenix to Chicago is at most a 4 day trip. My fault for not sending it overnight mail. Finally received the funds and admitted it on day 8. Two days later, no release of lien (which is electronic). Now, they claim they have to "hold" the funds for 5 days before sending the release of lien to their "vendor", who will take another 1-2 days to even send the release in. So all told, it will be almost 30 days from the day I mailed the payoff in until they release their lien.
Do yourself a favor and go to your local credit union. Sales such as this would be done and over with on the same day transacted. BMW Financial will do nothing to assist and everything to attempt to ruin your sale to a private party. They stated to me several times, that they really do not care at all one way or the other. I will never work with them again under any circumstances. I've purchased several cars and motorcycles through them. Never again. Absolutely the worst people to work with.Show More
I financed a motorcycle through BMWFS and had no problems until dealing with the total loss department of the company. I was hit by someone making a right turn from the left lane and my motorcycle was totaled. The BMW dealership made a mistake on our paperwork during the initial signing saying we opted out of GAP insurance, partly my fault for not thoroughly checking the paperwork. So when it came down to paying off the motorcycle the insurance did not pay off the entire balance so I had to pay off the remaining 1k, which sucks but oh well you can't win them all.
In The process of dealing with BMW total loss department you lose access to certain portions of your online account and they show your account payoff has arrived in the payments section. During the time the Insurance had sent the payment and BMW was waiting on the payment to come through I was constantly receiving calls from BMW, calls I would answer then be placed on hold until the call timed out. I would call back and on hold again, but would eventually get a representative. Each time I spoke with someone they said the payoff was already in the mail so I did not need to make another payment, which I was ready to do if I needed to so the account wouldn't show past due. Well the payoff finally came in 1 day after the account went 30 days late, which of course hit my credit dropping it 120 pts. So even though the bike was paid off my credit was hit, I'm still fighting the insurance company of the person who hit me on top of paying BMWFS for a motorcycle I do not have anymore.
Paying off the balance again sucks but does not bother me as much as BMW feeding me false information for a month then punishing me for that information. BMW is just one of many problems that have stemmed from the wreck. The way BMWFS conducted business and how I was treated by them after going the entirety of the loan with not one blemish they still punish me in the end for issues that were out of my control has led me to this poor review.Show More
