Suriname, officially known as the Republic of Suriname, is a sovereign state on the northeastern Atlantic coast of South America. At just under 64,000 sq miles, Suriname has a population of 566,000 inhabitants and Paramaribo as its capital city.
The Saint Peter and Paul Cathedral is one of the most beautiful sightseeing places of Paramaribo. The Cathedral is completely made of wood. It's said to be the largest wooden church of South America. It's a pleasure for the eyes to see the unpainted wooden walls, pillars and ceiling. Don't miss it.
