Considering the limitations it's pretty good, except for one problem: it's far too unresponsive when fighting disasters. Single riots and small fires are ok, but if you have a fire speading throughout your city, forget about trying to fight it. It simply doesn't respond to your moving of the firefighter placements unless you hold down the direction for a long time - then it scrolls you past where you wanted to go - very frustrating. Other than that, the limitations compared to the PC version are understandable, and the game play is decentShow More
Four stars for news and TWO FULL PAGES of comics. My apartment complex gets the Globe delivered every day and I'll usually glance over the cover while I'm waiting for my colleagues to catch up.
The last couple of days, I've been stuck in the apartment all day so when I popped out for coffee, I bought a paper at the 7-Eleven.Show More
But one thing strikes me as being odd is this- "The effects are good, yes, but great effects have been used in such movies as "Silent Running" and "Logan's Run". So is Ebert saying that Star Wars effects are merely good were as the effects in Silent Running and Logan's Run are great? I try the approach this comment through a 1977 stand point, but Star Wars was and is much more impressive all around (certainly better than Logan's Run from a year earlier). I guess I'm a bit biased but the effects in the original 1977 release of Star Wars holds up a lot better over the years than either of those other two movies (which, I'll admit, were pretty good for their day).Show More
We booked this trip with a local on the beach, Called "Jason Nice Guy" from ZiTours. (Going through Tui would cost you 75 euros per head, Local 25 per head). In my opinion its a little disappointing. You spend quite some time sitting on a bench in the back of a 4WD bouncing around in the wind (Yeah i know there is no control over the wind), However the sand is in your face a lot. Other passengers were selfish and didn't want to swap around between sights.
Swimming with sharks (i heard as didn't go in) was fascinating and you can feel safe, although you are quite a distance from shore.
Then we went to the Salt Lake for a dip and thoroughly enjoyed it (30 min stop), then on to see the "Blue Eye". Again around a 30 min stop but it is interesting. Once there, orders are taken for your lunch which are forwarded over the phone to the next stop, a very nice Restaurant. But here i think is the con... after the restaurant you have one last stop which lasts around 10, 15 min just to take photos from the bay of the "Sleeping Lion Mountain" before going back to your hotel.
You do not need to order food and have a meal as around 45 min after the Blue eye, you would be back at your Hotel anyway. It's your choice and expect to pay around 30 euros for 2 people. They swap sights around depending on the time of day or weather. Overall worth going, but personally i felt like yu just had a Taxi from A to B as not really a guide to tell you history or about the placeShow More
What I think is the ONLY time you see Save the Children in action anymore is when they show these tear jerking commercials and have their hand out for money. When the founder was in charge they were first on the scene at any disaster area always with food and coffee and other needs for the people affected but not anymore. I'd like to know just where the money goes and why they have no public profile anymore. I wouldn't give them a dime until they show themselves out front like they used to.Show More
It’s a bit confusing but what they are storing for
It’s a bit confusing but what they are storing for me is pretty adequate for my needs. It would be nice to know I was storing the original quality but I don’t need another monthly bill besides Google Drive. It’s awesome the way they rotate some of the photos for you or give you that option. I wish they would do more in terms of the facial recognition so that you can correctly date some of your photographs were the dates were stripped in the uploading process which for me was a bit of a hellish experience because it crashed while uploading. I got past all that and everything I own is in my Google library I just don’t have them sorted properly. I’m hoping this will be done automatically in the future using the facial recognition technology otherwise I have to spend years fixing my library.
